Our space proudly opens its door on bustling High Street in the heart of Belfast, Maine. Belfast is a Mid Coast Maine Coastal town located at the mouth of the Passagassawakeag River estuary on Belfast Bay and Penobscot Bay.
Our gallery’s Large windows, fabulous lighting, and large open floor plan makes viewing work here a pleasure.
Each of our 15 Artists showcase their work alongside each other. The number of mediums and approaches to making Art, as well as a goal of making Art affordble for new collectors separates Local Color Gallery from other in the region.
Our historic space is being thoughtfully renovated back to is former glory and we, as well as other top local businesses, call this building home.
We are located in the historic Masonic Building on High Street. Built in 1877, it is one of the city's most elaborately decorated buildings, featuring Masonic symbols. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
